Need a writer? You’re in luck.
If you’re looking to hire a writer who prioritizes clarity and tone, you’re in luck. Call it intuition or a good listening ear; I pick up on what’s being said, and how to say it clearly and still sound like a human (albeit a professional).
I’m based in beautiful East Tennessee, but where curiosity leads, I will follow. (Cue the Carole King.)
And curiosity (that old devil) makes for some interesting bedfellows. I’ve written about subjects ranging from Flannery O’Connor and rock ‘n’ roll to a veteran who specializes in homing pigeons. Once, an assignment meant sharing the same breathing air as Jon Hamm, Rhiannon Giddens, and Chance the Rapper. The sacrifices I’ve made.
My specialties are the profile and the feature; my dream the biography (and making a PBS documentary). But I have experience writing newsletters, marketing emails, social media posts, web content, blog posts, and even healthcare business news—and have worked with Fortune 500 companies, not-for-profits, regulatory bodies, universities, startups, and small publishers.
If you want a compelling story with an irresistible call-to-action, it’s me you’re looking for.
Because I believe listening is among life’s greatest gifts, I also write and produce a storytelling podcast. For Story of My Life, I ask senior citizens age 70-plus how they’ve come to be who they are and where they are.
Here’s what you should know about my style: I like plain language, but I’m no plain Jane. I like stories that go deep and copy that goes zing! Let’s talk about your project. Email me at LDALEX.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Already have a draft and need it scoured or spit-shined? Conveniently, I also offer editorial services.
